Letter: Dogs make woods safer
Thursday, May 5, 2005

When we moved to Concord 23 years ago, I was thrilled to find there was a place I could safely walk my dogs off-leash. I admired the wisdom of the people of Lincoln in protecting their land.
Over the years, I have walked the dogs in Lincoln Woods. When the children come to visit, we take the dogs to Lincoln Woods because it holds so many good memories.
I have met many nice people and dogs in Lincoln Woods and have never seen any kind of unpleasant incident there. People walking dogs in the woods make the woods safe. Once, when I was walking there, I met a person who made me nervous. That person did not have a dog and I was very glad that I had my dogs with me and that they were off leash.
