Welcome to Traildogs
This website is dedicated to people who enable their dogs to run, hike, swim, work and play in the Great Outdoors.
Although we are based in Greater Boston, our mission of saving land for responsible off-leash dog activity extends statewide, regionally and nationally.
We believe that all responsible citizens, including those with dogs, should be able to enjoy our beautiful, natural land.  It is alarming to us that many traditional areas for outdoor activity have banned off-leash and, in some cases, on-leash dog walking as recreation, with little or no effort to respect the needs of tax-paying, responsible dog owners.
We hope you enjoy looking around the site.  Read the letters that helped start this website with people’s expressions of what it means to be able to hike with their dogs at Mt.Misery Conservation Land.  In the History section meet James DeNormandie who refined the trail system at Mt Misery in the 50’s.  You can study the maps of the area we are talking about.  Connect to interesting dog-related sites on the Links page.  Find out what the news media has to say about the fight for freedom to walk with our dogs in natural areas.
Please submit any canine, or especially canine/land policy related links, events or news.  We are eager to keep up with interesting news.  Sign our Guest book to show support for Traildogs – or to let our readers know how you stand on these issues.  Feel free to comment on this site, or any content we have posted.
